The city of Alachua, known as the "Good Life Community" is located in Alachua County, Florida. Events

The city of Alachua is host to yearly Spring and Fall Festivals that bring the community together in celebration of these wondrous seasons. Known as the home of the "Largest Small Town Fireworks Display in America," Alachua's community goes all-out every 4^th of July in celebration of America's independence. In addition, the Mike and Adrian Peterson Foundation and game day gives the community a great way to participate in sports while helping at-risk children through fundraising.

Education

Offering many top-notch educational facilities, the City of Alachua is a great place to learn. For little ones, Irby Elementary and Alachua Elementary provide a safe and fun learning environment. Mebane Middle School and Santa Fe High School are Alachua's hubs of learning for adolescents. Alachua residents delight in attending local Santa Fe High School sports events in support of the Santa Fe Raiders. For high school graduates, Santa Fe College provides associate and bachelor degree programs and many unique educational experiences. Alachua is home to the Hal Brady Recreation Center, Splash and Skate Park, and San Felasco Park, which offer a myriad of opportunities to have fun and experience Florida's natural beauty. At the Hal Brady Recreation Center, kids and adults are able to play a range of sports at the center's numerous sports fields, practice in the batting cages, and enjoy a picnic with family and friends.

Those seeking a unique experience while immersed in nature will enjoy San Felasco Park. This unique state park is home to one of Florida's only mature forests. In addition, the park offers many opportunities to view hardwood trees and limestone, hallmarks of Florida's natural wonders. Visitors can go hiking, off-road cycling, and horseback riding.
