Each year, Cedar Key hosts the anticipated Seafood Festival. The Cedar Key Seafood Festival is the culmination of the year's bounty of seafood and is held annually in October. As Cedar Key is a popular place to go scalloping and fishing, the annual festival features local catches to include scallops and clams. In addition, the festival draws thousands each year who wish to listen to live music and view the expansive arts and crafts exhibit.

Other aspects of culture in Levy County include its ranches and agriculture. Levy County is home to many horse farms and local equestrians. One of the largest farms in the area is the Whitehurst Ranch which is a large cattle and horse ranch.

Levy County also offers many opportunities to relax while immersed in Florida's natural beauty. The county is home to Goethe State Forest which provides residents with a unique way of experiencing a range of Florida's natural environments. The Goethe State Forest is home to native wildlife such as bears, tortoise and bald eagles. From flatwoods to swamp to sand hills, Goethe State Forest encompasses a variety of terrain. Camping, hiking and horse trails are available in the forest.

Manatee Springs is another popular spot in Levy County. A state-run park, Manatee Springs offers visitors opportunities to swim, snorkel, and scuba dive. Located close to Chiefland, Fowler's Bluff is a riverside community located in Levy County that provides river access and is a great place to go fishing. The Waccasassa River is a popular destination for anglers, as it is accessible only by boat and provides access to both freshwater and saltwater fish.

Those wishing to stay dry will find that Levy County offers many opportunities to golf on pristine green courses that provide a dazzling view of Florida sunsets while trying for the elusive hole-in-one, or perhaps trying to chip one out of the rough.
